I believe he had an album in 2005. Called Popstar? It was removed from spotify a few years back, I distinctly remember buying it because I loved the single "Saturday Night." Which had played at my 7th grade dance. I could be wrong, I'd have to go back to my mom's house to look for the CD. But I do believe there was an album between Another Earthquake! and Fool's Gold. He would've been in his late teens when it came out.
Popstar was actually a direct to video movie that Aaron starred in back in 2005 (in which he basically plays a version of himself).
I think what you may be thinking of is the soundtrack for that film. “Saturday Night” was recorded around the same time and was actually an attempt at reconnecting with Lou Pearlman to reignite whatever spark Aaron had as a kid (in the opening scene of the Saturday Night music video, there’s a jet proudly sporting a Transcontinental Companies logo). However, this arrangement didn’t seem to work out beyond “Saturday Night” because in 2006 it was revealed that Pearlman defrauded people out of hundreds of millions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme, which landed the man in jail for the rest of his life.
What I don’t know if Saturday Night was made specifically to be included in Popstar, or if the single was simply shoehorned into the movie. Either way, thank you for bringing up this very niche piece of AC history!
I used to have two friends that are schizophrenic, and they used to act similar to Aaron. Aaron used to show signs of schizophrenia. He suffered a lot of abuse growing up and with his rise to fame at such a young age messed with his head and his sense of worth.
Wow, this series is so well written and captivating, I'm here for it!

Hey! Thanks for bringing this up!
